A large and sheltered bay on the southwest coast of the Island, about 14 km from Apollonia, Vathy has the longest beach of Sifnos and is a great landing place for the boats that sail in the Cyclades.
At the far end of the long strip of sand there is a tiny, picturesque church that seems to stretch out in the sea, and, on the opposite side, a series of small coves sheltered from the wind.
A part of the beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, leaving anyway plenty of room for those who prefer to enjoy fully the sun and the sea.
On both sides of the bay several seaside tavernas and some pottery workshops add vitality to life on the beach of Vathy
